In its formative years, CCS Global participated with a team of European industry and EC members in the development and prioritization of the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking* (FCH JU) program. In 2008, CCS Global became a founding member of the New Energy World Industry Grouping (NEW-IG) of the FCH JU. CCS Global participates in EC funded FCH projects with European partners and is active in other non-funded projects in North America and Europe.

The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) is a unique public private partnership supporting research, technological development and demonstration (RTD) activities in fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies in Europe. Its aim is to accelerate the market introduction of these technologies, realizing their potential as an instrument in achieving a carbon-lean energy system.

The European Industry Grouping for a Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, called New Energy World Industry Grouping “Fuel Cell and Hydrogen for Sustainability” (NEW-IG) is a voluntary non-profit association established under the Belgian Law and open to all industrial companies with fuel cell and hydrogen R&D activities in Europe.
